Homeschool Art Classes in Chattanooga
Homeschool art classes in Chattanooga meet every Tuesday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Creative Art Place, mixing a real art education with the fun of creating alongside other homeschoolers. Tuition is $120 a month, the same as our other studio classes, and every supply is provided.

What homeschoolers learn
Our homeschool art classes in Chattanooga follow the same foundations as every studio class: the elements of art and the principles of design, plenty of drawing, then layer after layer of new materials.
- Master artists from the past, and contemporary artists
- The periods and movements of art history, as their age allows
- Watercolor, acrylics, pastels, clay and mixed media
Drawing is a big part of every class, and our drawing classes page shows how those foundations build.

Friends at the art table
Art is better with company. Tuesday's class gives your artist a regular time to make things alongside other homeschoolers, swap ideas and cheer each other on.
Expect paint, clay and a little mess, the fun kind you'd rather not clean off your kitchen table.
Homeschool days have their own rhythm, too. A class at 11 on a Tuesday leaves your afternoon free and gives the week a creative anchor.
Part of a homeschool co-op or group? Book a free 10-minute call and tell us how many artists you have in mind.

A weekday class with Alannah
The Tuesday class is taught by Alannah Nolan, our Explorer of Art & Adventure. She trained as a ballerina until 18, grew up in a boating and freediving family, and learned Northwest Coast wood carving from master carver Wayne Price.
She brings that curiosity to the art table. Alannah encourages young artists to experiment, ask questions and try something unfamiliar.
She also teaches our Thursday evening and Saturday morning kids classes, so a homeschooled artist may already know her.

Siblings, makeups and breaks
Bringing more than one child? Each additional sibling is $100 a month. Siblings can share a class where it makes sense, and we'll help you decide what suits your family.
Missed a Tuesday? Pop into another class that week to make it up.
Taking the summer off? Pause your homeschool art classes for as long as you like and pick back up in the fall.

Join any time of year
Studio classes run all year, so there's no semester to wait for. New artists can start whenever you're ready, and once you're enrolled you can come on the day, even as you walk in the door.
Tuition covers one class a week. It's $120 a month, every supply provided, and you can cancel anytime in goodwill.
